Brewery Hits Back at CSPI

March 4, 2008: 12:00 AM EST
Anheuser-Busch (A-B) has denied claims made by the Center for Science in the Public Interest that its Tilt and Bud Extra brands contain banned stimulants that could potentially be dangerous when mixed with alcohol. The drinks are targeted at young people. A-B says federal authorities have approved the caffeinated alcohol beverages. CSPI says it will seek a ban on the production of Tilt and Bud Extra, as well as the Sparks brand made by Miller.
